UFO Pioneer Stanton Friedman has Passed Away

It is with great sadness that I have learned that Stanton Friedman, physicist and UFO Expert, has passed away. Stanton is best known for his investigation into the famous Roswell, New Mexico UFO incident. His professionalism in dealing with the UFO subject helped to bring a great deal of public attention to the UFO phenomena.
I had the pleasure of knowing Stanton when he was just starting his UFO interest and investigations in the 1960s. He lived in Pittsburgh, PA, at the time and was working for Westinghouse. There was a small research group in Pittsburgh at that time called the UFO Research Institute. As I recall I was the youngster of the group and Stanton helped to encourage me to continue my research in the field.
Stanton visited my home in Greensburg at times to view the UFO materials that I had been accumulating. I also attended some of his first lectures. Over the years we would communicate and we would have deep discussions when we spoke at various UFO conferences across the country.
Stanton’s serious interest in the UFO mystery helped to influence my future research in the UFO field. I will miss him greatly. Stanton will go down in the history books and will forever be remembered by those who continue to seek these mysteries in our sky.
