Dave Dragosin-Pennsylvania Bigfoot Researcher & Forensic Sketch Artist Has Passed Away
It is with deep sorrow that I have learned of the passing of my longtime friend and research associate David P. Dragosin. Dave passed away on July 23, 2020. He was 71 years old and was from Clairton, PA. Dave and I crossed paths many years ago as we both had a deep interest in the Bigfoot phenomena. In years past, Dave worked in the radio broadcast field and was also a talk radio host on WMBS radio in Uniontown. On occasion we discussed the Bigfoot topic on the air.
Dave spent many hours in the woods and forests of Pennsylvania looking for that elusive Bigfoot creature. He was often accompanied by his wife, Cindy, to interview witnesses and to collect and to document any physical evidence, such as footprints.
Dave became well known in the Bigfoot field as a Forensic sketch artist who drew depictions of Bigfoot based on the eyewitness testimony. His artistic ability to relate what Bigfoot witnesses reported seeing was instrumental in providing documentation in this ongoing study. Dave was also a past Western Pennsylvania Director of the Pennsylvania Bigfoot Society and later became involved with the Keystone Bigfoot Project. He was also a member of the Goosebumps Paranormal Society.
Dave and I took part in some documentary films on the Bigfoot subject and we also investigated various Bigfoot encounters. Quite often, we were speakers at or just attended conferences that dealt with UFOs, Bigfoot, and the paranormal. Dave and I would have detailed phone conversations sharing the latest reports. I will surely miss hearing his voice and enjoy the times we had together. Dave was a unique person with a positive attitude and always fun to be around.
Family and friends will be received on July 31, 2020, from 2-4 PM at the S.M. Finney Funeral Home, 432 N. 6th Street, Clairton, PA 15025. A service will follow at the funeral home at 4 P.M. On line condolences may be offered at www.finneyfuneralhome.com.
I am sure Dave is now in a better place, and just maybe, he will learn the answers to the mysteries he was seeking for so many years. May he rest in peace.
