2004
The following incidents were among the
sightings of alleged UFOs and the Unusual reported to
researcher Stan Gordon throughout Pennsylvania and
neighboring states (when available). These cases have
come to Stan Gordons attention from various
sources. Many sightings that have already been identified
as natural or manmade in origin are not listed. Some of
these reports are still being investigated.
January 3, 2004
Lancaster County
10:50 P.M. Mysterious loud boom shakes homes in a
large area.
January 9, 2004
Greensburg
At About 5:05 P.M. two people reported observing a
very bright white long cylinder shaped object with no
wings. The object was observed from the Carbon area,
moving towards Greensburg, then turning more in a
direction towards Delmont. No sound was heard as it
passed through the sky.
January 10, 2004
Ogletown
According to a report from another associate, a
man driving through a very rural area of Somerset
County observed a Bigfoot. The witness said that the
creature was walking upright like a man and was
covered in dark brown hair. The creature came from
the right side of the witness as it walked up from a
creek area, and crossed the road in front of him.
January 12, 2004
Lancaster County
According to information I received, two more
mysterious booms shook homes in this area on this
date. The first boom was as 10 A.M., the second at 3
P.M.

Ivyland
(NUFORC) Witness saw 3 strange objects outside the
house. The next morning strange tracks were found in
the snow covered yard.

Huntingdon
PA Bigfoot Society: www.pabigfootsociety.com.
Huntingdon-People report hearing noises outside of
house. 14 inch long footprints with 5 toes, and long
stride were reportedly found in the snow.

Reading
(NUFORC) A disc shaped object with blue and red lights
was reportedly observed in the SE sky for a long period
of time before an aircraft approached the area.

Levittown
(NUFORC) Two witnesses report seeing two triangular
shaped objects with bright lights at their bottom. The
objects appeared very close together and moved out of the
area at slow speed.
February 2, 2004
Brownsville
Witness observed three round white circles that formed
a triangle moving slowly across the sky. A long thin beam
of light was emitted from the right side of the object.
The beam scanned the roadway then rose up into the
sky.

Mount Pleasant
A bright orange light appeared stationary in the west
for about 20 minutes before disappearing.

Derry Township
At about 7:30 P.M.-A witness reported seeing a round
blue circle of light in the direction of New Derry. The
light which was brighter than Venus, dropped straight
down from the sky and disappeared below the trees, and
was not seen again.

sighting reported in this area.

Latrobe
At about 8:16 P.M.-Witnesses reported a formation of
small blue lights moving across the sky. Additional other
lights joined others that were already visible. No sound
was detected during the 20 minute observation.

East Springfield
(NUFORC) Witness observed two separate glowing objects
with various colored lights hovering with an appearance
like a firefly.

Waynesboro
(PA Bigfoot Society) Members of the PBS found 30
footprints in the snow measuring 9 inches in length. The
tracks began and ended abruptly.

Eastern Westmoreland County
(PA Bigfoot Society) Numerous tracks are found in a
remote area. The tracks are to numerous to count and
appear to show three different sized tracks.

Trafford
A trail of large footprints with a long stride was
reported in the snow.
March, 2004
Murrysville
(PA Bigfoot Society) Reported to the PBS, a man
walking down his driveway reports a large dark colored
hair covered creature run through his yard and pass him.
The creature ran down a hill onto the road and in front
of a car before disappearing into the wood line.
March 8, 2004
Freeport
(PA Bigfoot Society) Reported to the PBS from a north
of Freeport. While working to patch a sewage pipe from
the main road to the witness property, the witness
describes feeling being watched. When he turns to look,
he observes a tall hair covered creature which was dark
in color, standing on the road and watching him from
about 300 yards away.
As the witness approached the creature, it took three
steps across the road and stepped over a guardrail and
went down an embankment disappearing into the woods. The
man stated before the creature stepped over the
guardrail, the creature turned its whole body and looked
at him. The witness described the chest and head of the
creature as having lighter colored hair. The witness
claimed to have found a four toed footprint which he
photographed.

I was contacted by a person concerning the alleged
sighting of a huge bird with an estimated 15 foot
wingspan. I am trying to obtain more details.

(NUFORC) -Slow moving lighted object moves across sky
and suddenly vanishes from sight.

Abington, PA
(NUFORC)Witness reported to NUFORC observing what
appeared to be a diamond shaped object with 5 lights, one
in the center, and one at each corner. The object was
moving slowly, and no sound was heard.

Lancaster, PA
(NUFORC) A rectangular shaped light described as
bright but fuzzy, appeared in the western part of the
sky, approached closer to the observer, then reportedly
shot straight up into the sky and moved off very quickly.

Armbrust, PA
About 9:30 P.M., on a country road near Armbrust, two
people traveling in a vehicle were startled when the
headlights hit an object sitting on the roadway ahead.
The object appeared to be cigar shaped, about a foot in
length, and metallic silver in color. There appeared to
be some type of support underneath the object which held
the main body off the ground. The observers heard no
sound. As they watched, the object rose straight up off
the road for about 20 feet, then it moved to the right
and the object flew out of sight.
April 4, 2004
California, PA
This case was investigated by researcher Jim Brown.
The sighting occurred about 8:35 P.M. when the witness
observed a large triangular object in the sky over a
nearby home. The object glowed faintly, and it had blue
lights at the corners. A second strange object appeared
in the sky above the witness which looked like a glass
rod. Even more unusual was when bright sparks suddenly
began to fall from the sky from above the triangular
object, and they passed in front of that object. The
sparks seemed to fall to the ground. The first object
moved off fast towards the north and could no longer be
observed. The rod shaped object was no longer visible.
April 6, 2004
Northeast Philadelphia
(NUFORC) About 7 P.M. the witness from his 3rd floor
window observed a black sphere moving upward in the sky.
It then changed direction and moved quickly towards the
northeast and moved away in the distance.

Ford City
(NUFORC) Around 9:15 P.M. a couple was sitting in
their hot tub The husband and wife were looking skyward,
when the man spotted two orange glowing disc shaped
objects that looked as though they were positioned end to
end. They were moving at a very fast pace from east to
west. One object was behind the other and moving in a
straight line, but at one point they were side by side.
The entire observation was around 8 seconds.

Altoona, PA
(NUFORC) A witness saw a chevron shaped object in the
sky moving very fast towards the northwest. The object
appeared to have orange lights in three rows. The object
was lost from sight behind some trees.

Plymouth Boro,PA
(NUFORC) For about 10 minutes a witness observed a
formation of about six white lights in a cross shaped
pattern.

Lititz, PA
(NUFORC) Witness reported seeing during the afternoon
a black disc shaped object about 150-200 feet over the
trees. The witness estimated that the object was about
10-15 feet across. The observation lasted about 15-20
seconds.

Slippery Rock, PA
(NUFORC) Around 3:30 A.M., hundreds of orange lights,
some in a V formation reported for a 3 hour period of
time.

Various in Westmoreland County
People reporting strange unusual odors similar to
rotten eggs. Near West Newton, in an area where Bigfoot
sightings have originated from in the past, residents
reporting something heavy walking in the woods, and a
strong odd smell.

Possible Bigfoot activity reported close to the
Keystone Park area.

Derry Township
About 10:10 P.M. near Gray Station a fellow walking in
the area spotted an odd light in the sky. The light which
was later seen by others in the area blinked 3 times,
then seemed to drop lower over some trees and was lost
from sight.

Indiana, PA
(NUFORC) It was about midnight when the witness
observed a hovering and hiding UFO (yellow -orange
flickering disc) above the Jimmy Stewart Airport.

Pleasant Unity
Around 1 A.M., residents reported strong rotten egg
smell in nearby woods. The family dog acted odd at the
time.
June 9, 2004
Punxsutawney
About 11:30 P.M., the witness was looking outside to
see if the lights were out around the area since her
power had gone out in her home. Looking eastward the
woman saw an odd light which was flashing about 30 feet
off the ground. The light which was only about 50 feet
away from her location, was shaped like a square and
looked as thought it was made up of a mass of light
bubbles. The odd light source which was like an ice cube
shape, appeared just above her hedges, and was estimated
at about 2 feet by 2 feet in dimension. The object
gradually began to rise skyward, and soon looked just
like a distant light high in the sky.

It was near Midnight when the observer saw a huge
reddish-orange object which appeared motionless in the
sky. The object appeared to be on fire and had a bright
vapor trail. The object appeared to set high in the
southwest sky for about 5 minutes.

(NUFORC) Fast moving bright spherical object moved
fast across the sky zig-zagging at times.

Philadelphia, PA
(NUFORC) A silver disc shaped object was observed at a
high altitude. It appeared metallic, and appeared to have
a black ring around the outside area, and the center of
the object seemed to be hollow.

Pittsburgh to Greensburg, PA
At approximately 10:50 P.M., witnesses from Pittsburgh
to Greensburg, PA observed a luminous orangish-red object
with a long fiery trail moving at a fast pace through the
sky. The NUFORC received numerous other sighting reports
from Pennsylvania, ranging from Lancaster to Tionesta.
The NUFORC also received sightings from out of state of
what appears to have been the same object and which was
later identified as the re-entry of Russian space debris.

East Vandergrift
A witness on this evening reported a sighting of a
huge bright red cigar shaped object which appeared over
the Kiskimentis River.

Altoona, PA
(NUFORC) Several people walking through a wooded area
observed odd lights rise out of the woods about 25 feet
way and move up into the sky. A loud gush of wind was
heard at the time.

Honesdale,PA
(NUFORC) Several observers reported seeing a large
diamond shaped object moving through the sky. There were
white non-blinking lights at each point of the diamond
which changed to orange in color while under observation.
July 18, 2004
Titusville, PA
(NUFORC) Over a 30 minute period the witness watched a
silver sphere move over the tree line in the distance.
The object changed from a silver to a red color, and
moved around in different positions before moving up in
the sky. The object disappeared from view in the clear
daylight sky.

Tioga County
Researcher Joe Nemanich provided the following
information. A witness was working at a construction site
during daylight hours when he observed a tall hair
covered man-like creature which was estimated at 7 to 8
feet tall, standing near the side of the rural roadway.
The creature crossed the road in three long strides and
entered into a large swampy area. There was a large area
smashed down of the ground cover where the creature had
traveled through into the swamp. The witness who didn't
want identified, said he was amazed at the creatures's
size and speed.
August 3, 2004
Pottstown, PA
(NUFORC) Around 2:30 A.M. as the witness noticed
interference on his tv, he saw 3 yellow lights in a row
in the sky. The object was making an odd humming sound.
The object was moving straight up into the sky. The
witness reported that when the object was over his house,
he noticed the tv interference. The tv cleared up when
the object moved away.

Denver, PA
(NUFORC) It was around 9 P.M., when the witness saw a
fireball zig-zagging as it moved across the sky and
disappeared.

Pittsburgh, PA
(NUFORC) About 9 P.M. the witness saw a white light
appear near a skyscraper. The light zig-zagged through
the sky not like an aircraft. A short time later, three
similar lights which also moved in the same manner
appeared in the sky then soon disappeared.

York, PA
It was about 10:10 P.M. when a witness sitting on the
patio saw a very bright solid orange sphere move from
west to east across the sky.
September 2, 2004
Belle Vernon, PA
Witness was loading some equipment in the car at about
9:30 P.M., when he observed a series of 4 lights moving
overhead from SE to NW. Several other people also watched
the lights as they moved in a close straight line
formation at the approximate speed of a slow moving jet.
A few minutes later, a second series of lights approached
from the SE and moved side by side. The light sequence
appeared to be made up of 1 red and 4 white lights. The a
few minutes later, a 3rd set of two lights in a row moved
across the sky and was lost in the distance.
September 18, 2004
State College,PA
(NUFORC) State College,PA-Witness saw what looked like
a meteor in the western sky. She pointed it out to a
friend who also observed it. The light according to the
witness suddenly changed direction and zig-zagged across
the sky and disappeared towards the north.

Reports from various locations around 8 A.M.
concerning a bright ball of fire and a long trail moving
through the early morning sky.

(NUFORC) Around 10:15 P.M., witnesses saw three lights
flying in a triangular formation. They at first thought
it was an aircraft, when the two bottom lights appeared
to weave, and move around. The formation moved away
towards the west.

Perkasie, PA
(NUFORC) Around 7:45 P.M. the witness observed two
dull orange lights which appeared to be side by side,
move from south to north in the clear sky.

Greater Pittsburgh
Around 11:15 P.M., observers throughout the Greater
Pittsburgh area reported a luminous blue light move
across the sky. The light was so bright it turned the
dark night sky into daylight for a few seconds. The
object appears to have been a bright meteor associated
with the annual Orionid meteor shower.
November 3, 2004
Bradford, PA
(NUFORC) Witness saw green fireball which appeared
slow falling towards the southern part of the sky. The
sighting was estimated to last for 15 seconds.
December 1, 2004
Fayette County,PA
Witness was outside talking to a neighbor when he saw
a bright light in the eastern sky. The light appeared
brighter than Venus and was moving in a NE to E
direction. The light seemed to be descending as it curved
downward and it appeared to be moving faster than a
aircraft. The object had no trail behind it.

Pittsburgh,PA
(NUFORC) Witness saw a bright luminous orange light
source moving at a fast pace across the sky around 12:45
A.M. towards the northwest. The object then moved at very
high rate of speed from west to east.
